THE REVERSE PROCESS

Unlike traditional tie-dye where you add color, our process starts with undoing.

We bind, fold, twist and squeeze the material, following intuition more than a strict pattern.

We don’t fully control what will happen — and that’s exactly the point.

Even when we use the same folding method twice, no two results are identical. The bleach flows differently each time: pulled by fabric tension, absorbed uniquely by every fiber, reacting with varying pigments.

THE ROOTS IN SHIBORI (BUT FLIPPED)

Our process is inspired by ancient Japanese shibori techniques — where fabrics are traditionally folded, twisted, tied, and then dyed to create patterns.

But unlike classic shibori, which adds color, we reverse the process: we strip color away.

We call it reverse shibori — a bleaching glitch.

And even though folding techniques can be replicated, the true magic is that the outcome will always resist exact repetition.
